Awww, Chris. I know it’s different in my case and I am no expert but I can understand. The first time I dealt with death was my grandmother. I didn’t say goodbye to her properly and my grandfather had to let her go, pretty much the same way as you had with Nellie. A couple of months after she passed away, she visited me in my dreams and I felt so much better and relieved (the last time we spoke was on the phone and she had nagged me not to be pissed off with my aunt because she spoke very badly of my ex-boyfriend). Since then, she has visited me a couple of more times in my dreams. Whether this is my unconsciousness at works or it is really my grandmother”s spirit, I truly believe that is the rite of passage to a positive closure of losing loved ones. And I always feel there is so much to learn from them. Anyway, you are in my thoughts. Wishing you a happy new year and look forward to seeing you this year! xo, tiff

No, you are absolutely not alone. I do not like the winter months either. Winters here are freezing rain, ice storms and sometimes snow. I’d rather be back in southern California picking oranges, lemons and avocados off of the trees in my backyard.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for summer, but I much prefer fall. Except for that part about the kids going back to school … means I have to get up at 5:00 to run. Oh, well. Like Warren Zevon said, I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
