Today’s Running Tip: Eat before you run!
It is important to refuel before you go for a long run. Even if you are an early morning runner and don’t like breakfast!!! Oatmeal, whole grain cereal, a plain bagel are excellent choices for a pre workout snack. Once digested these foods will supply carbohydrates for energy. It is recommended you stay away from foods high in protein and fat before your run as they take longer to digest and can therefore cause nausea and stomach upset on your run, something you want to avoid! So is a Quarterpounder with cheese!
