Auf Wiedersehen 2009

And that about sums it all up for me!

As for fitness and running, here are my stats for this past year, a year that brought much sorrow to our family and this nation in general. The only thing that made this year less horrible than it could have been was the fact that we voted in the right man on November 4th, 2008. The alternative is a possibility I don’t want to imagine…

Total Distance: 2669.6 miles
Total Time: 463:28:41 min
Run Distance: 2001.4 miles
Run Time: 253:12:41 min
Walk Distance: 668.2 miles
Walk Time: 210:16:00 min

Best running month: 201.5 miles (March)

Worst running month: 146.3 miles (October! what a surprise…)

Average speed: 7:37 min/miles

Strength & Endurance: 62 hours

Weight Training: 31:25 hours

Yoga: 55.50 hours

As for the new year and new decade I vow to stay as dedicated to running and working out as I have been for the past 10 years. What can I say, it gets me through the days, the good and the not so good (I took a vow a long time ago never to have a bad day again and I am sticking to it)!

HAPPY NEW DECADE

Today’s Running Tip: Sticking with your New Years Running Resolution!

Everyone wakes up on New Years Day with the same thoughts: this year will be the year I will… (fill in the blank)! In order to stick with your running goals sign up for a race early in the year. It does not have to be a marathon, just a distance that you need to train for. A training schedule within the first few months of the new year will help you get used to a regular training plan and sticking with a routine!
